This is a really easy and quick way to make a very tasty protein. In this recipe I used a fish because it absorbs the flavours very nicely, but you could use the same marinade on chicken if you prefer so.  It will be delicious either way! However, if you decide to do this recipe with chicken instead, I would suggest marinating it for longer, the longer the tastier it will be. 

Saffron & Lemon Cod Filet

serves 1


2 tbs olive oil
Juice of half a lemon
1/2 tsp cumin
1/8 tsp saffron
1 garlic
1 cod filet


1. Blend the garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, cumin and saffron to make a marinade.

2. Marinate the fish in the sauce for 15 min.

3. Heat a pan at medium heat. Add the fish and cook for 4 minutes on each side. Serve with a drizzle of lemon.
